Prominent Republicans endorse Harry Mitchell!
In a press conference and a press release today, Democrat Harry Mitchell's campaign scored huge points with the endorsements of several prominent valley Republican politicians and business people.

The press release specifically mentions, among others, former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods, who appeared Friday at a press conference to announce his support for Mitchell. Accounts of the press conference from AZ Congress Watch, here and here, and by Random Musings, here.
Other Republican businessmen and businesswomen at the press conference also had very positive opinions and endorsements of Harry Mitchell. As the Random Musing account reports, Republican businesswoman Pat Thielen of Tempe spoke at the event and endorsed Mitchell as a man who always tries "to do the right thing" and who has "common sense." She concluded her comments saying that Harry is "the best man for the job."
Grant Woods is quoted as saying, about Hayworth: “I saw him on Meet the Press and frankly was embarrassed for Arizona,” and "He creates more problems than he solves."
From the press release, which focuses on elected and formerly elected officials, its clear that there is a major rejection of Hayworth and an embracing of Mitchell among Republican pols:
