Councilman Sepulveda: Chandler Tech Incubator Approved

Technology incubators will place Chandler on new economic path

Just when you thought things couldn't get any more exciting in Chandler, something very exciting and important happened to the well-being of our community at the May 11 City Council meeting. We unanimously approved a plan that will chart a path for Chandler's first pure technology incubator.

Our timing could not be better. While incubators have been around for quite some time, the need for us to explore new fields of technology is immediate.

While it was the semiconductor industry that put Chandler on the map "last century," there are many areas where this base technology, coupled with emerging science and technology in areas such as biodesign and nanotechnology, become our next frontier.

It appears to be an exciting start to the 21st Century for Chandler's growth and development!
