"Chandler will begin building a wetland area this summer that will include man-made holes where burrowing owls, forced out of their habitat by development, can be relocated.
Ironically, owls currently living at the site will have to be moved to make way for the project.
Construction on the $27 million, 78-acre wetland area is set to begin and even though city officials will have to file for federal permits to relocate at least two owls, they don’t expect construction to be delayed." Story here.

"Chandler City Council is looking for a new home. The city spent $195,000 and a year's time on a consultant to study viable sites near downtown for a new City Hall and museum. At a recent City Council meeting, consultant Dick Shiffer of RNL Design made recommendations on both sites. The museum site, on the west side of Arizona Avenue between Boston and Chicago streets, did not raise any questions by council members. It will be voted on, and likely pass, on May 11.
But the recommended City Hall site, on the northeastern corner of Arizona Avenue and Chicago Street, has been sent back for further study." Story here.

Scott now can heckle Hayworth full-time. He announced today that he is giving up his party post to join Harry Mitchell's anti-Hayworth campaign in the 5th Congressional District." Story here
