...it's things like this that make me wish I were in Chandler, right now:

Live music will fill historic downtown Chandler this weekend during the 7th annual Chandler Jazz Festival.

"We try to make it kind of a French Quarter, Bourbon Street atmosphere so wherever you turn, there's jazz music," festival founder Bart Salzman said of what people can expect this Friday and Saturday.

More than 120 performers in 20 musical acts from professionals to student bands will be scattered in and around the downtown square.

"People should come because it's fun for the whole family, and it's free," Salzman said.

"You can just stroll and not spend a nickel and hear five or six bands. "
